Test Standard

Ratings use the CIF classification scale of 100–700, where a lower number is better (100 is a Varsity Referee). For the current season, the Overall Rating blends the inputs an official has:

• On-court evaluations — weighted about 45%, averaged across the scored criteria.
• Group Leadership rating — about 20% for veteran officials (about 5% for first-year officials).
• First-year rating — about 20%, for first-year officials only.

Only the inputs available for the season are counted, and the weights are re-balanced across whatever is present. A dash (—) means there aren’t enough rating inputs yet this season.
