Rules Gazette Content Creator
NCOA North Basketball is seeking a knowledgeable, motivated official to serve as our Rules Gazette Content Creator. In this role, your main focus will be producing content for the Rules Gazette — our resource for helping officials, coaches, and players better understand the game. Each week, you'll take a rule from the high school basketball rule book, identify a clear on-court play example that illustrates it, and write it up in a way that's easy to follow and genuinely useful to our members.
This is a great fit for someone who loves the rules of the game and enjoys teaching them. You'll sharpen your own rules knowledge while helping the entire association get better. We're asking for one article per week, so consistency and a real interest in the rule book are key.
Rather than a paycheck, this position is incentive-based. Your participation is rewarded through officiating opportunities: contributors can earn additional game assignments during the regular season, and strong, consistent work can open the door to higher-level games. Simply put — the more you put into the Gazette, the more you get back on the court.
You'll work remotely on your own schedule, submitting each weekly piece through our system for leadership review before it's published. If you know the rule book, can explain a play clearly, and want your effort to translate into better assignments, this is the role for you.
